Regency Midnight Rose
15.1 hands Foaled 1996 Solid Black

“Philly” was purchased originally to be Melissa’s show horse in Hunter Pleasure, Equitation and Jumping.  Which she did, with beauty, grace, and talent.  Always, being in the top ribbons.

Melissa and Philly took jumping lessons at an Open Sport Horse Barn, where they also hold Hunts, Philly was a favorite of the Hunt members, they would return from a Hunt and sit arena side and watch that “adorable mare” jump.

In 2004 Philly presented us with a bay colt Arrow M Hotwired.  Hottie is sired by Apple Pi Dallas Magic and is a wonderful combination of his sire and dam.  We look forward to repeating this cross in the future.

NEWS FLASH …..Philly returned to the show ring in 2006.  Winning the Open Hunter Pleasure Mares and the Hunter Pleasure 15.1 and under classes at the Far West Regional Championships in Redmond Oregon.

Windy Dancing
14.2 hands Foaled 1997
Chestnut

Windy originally came to us on a breeding lease from Michele Frazier of Eagle Point Oregon.  At the end of the lease we were fortunate to be able to purchase her.  Windy’s pedigree is full of Western Working lines, Windy is considered “Foundation” as she has no outside crosses after 1930.  Windy  is an easy mare to be around, sound, put together nicely, pretty headed, Windy has such a nice floating trot.

Windy had not been trained to saddle, so after weaning her 2006 foal we started working with her, she’s progressing nicely, and we are very pleased with her trainability.

Here at Eagle Rock Farm it’s very important to us that our mares prove themselves to us in performance, and Windy is meeting that standard.

Futurity's Jewel by Twist
16.2 Hands Foaled 1999 Bay

Jewel is one of those once in a life time horses.  She is big, beautiful, talented, and one of the sweetest mares you’d ever hope to own.

Jewel has excelled in Hunter Pleasure and Dressage, her first Dressage test at age 3 she had the highest score at the show, in 2002 she won the 4 year old Hunter Pleasure Reserve World Championship and the Reserve Grand National title in the Hunter Pleasure Youth Finals.  She’s been in the top 10 every year she’s gone to the Morgan Grand National and World Championship Horse Show.

All of this was accomplished with her being trained and shown by my self an Amateur that works full time off the farm.  I think this speaks volumes of this mare’s ability.

I look forward to producing wonderful sport minded foals from Jewel

Treasure Cookie
14.3 hands Foaled 1999 Chestnut

Cookie’s pedigree has a strong connection to the Western Working
Family.  Cookie is our go anywhere, do anything girl, if you need to do a job, Cookie is the horse to do it.

Although we have not shown Cookie, our daughter has used Cookie to learn Reining patterns, play around at the local Cow Horse Associations Team Pennings and Cattle working days.  Melissa even used Cookie to help her walk her show steer!

Cookie is the type of mare we are looking for in our breeding program, sold built, great work ethic, good disposition, and easily trained.  It is our hope that she passes these qualities on to her
future foals.

Olanchee's Silhouette
Olanchee’s Silhouette
1981  14.2 hand  Solid Black

“Mugsy” is the product of my favorite old mare Olanchee and my Dad’s favorite Stallion Circle H Pepe.  When Mugsy was born I was ecstatic over my black filly.  She was trained to ride as a young mare and showed great promise; she was athletic, and easy to train. “Born Broke” best described her.

Unfortunately Mugsy was injured, and was unable to ever be ridden again.  She’s lived a long and happy life being a pet at my parents; until last spring when my Dad offered to let her live with me.

Unfortunately Mugsy lost her 2006 foal.

Because of her age we will not be re-breeding her
